PSG: why young people at the training center are slow to sign their first professional contract

It’s an old sea serpent that PSG has learned to master over the years. Since the arrival of Luis Enrique, the European champion has relied more on his training to fuel his first team. In the wake of Warren Zaire-Emery, the most used player this season (37 games, all as a starter), Senny Mayulu (28 games), Ibrahim Mbaye (24) and Quentin Ndjantou (16) have all earned their place in the rotation. They are regularly cited as examples by leaders when it comes to convincing younger people to follow the same path.

The period is precisely for negotiations for the Titis born in 2008, whose aspiring contract ends next June. Lucas Batbedat (left back) and Edem Ghalleb (middle) were the first to sign a new trainee lease. They will not be the only ones to extend. But others will leave.
