Football|HJK’s Midfield is getting stronger.
Helsinki The football club acquired a new reinforcement for the midfield. A Ghanaian will join the Helsinki team Emmanuel Boateng. HJK reported on this on Friday on his YouTube channel.
The Ghanaian player will join the team when the permit process is finalized, HJK says.
28-year-old Boateng’s previous club was Konyaspor in the Turkish premier league. However, the midfielder has been without a club since September last year.
He played a total of 16 times in the Turkish club. Before Konyaspor, Boateng played in the Swedish Allsvenskan for Elfsborg. In the Swedish club, he played a total of 53 matches.
HJK’s sports director Petri Vuorinen ja Head of Scouting Janne Wilkman presented the new acquisition with a YouTube video.
“A player who brings added value to the team from the point of view of competence. I believe that he fits the team very well,” says Petri Vuorinen.
“He was the right profile for us among the midfielders we were following. We managed to sell our project to him, and we got him to come here to Finland. We are very happy about that,” said Wilkman.
