Osasuna will appear in the court case for the incidents that occurred last Saturday in El Sadar

Club Atlético Osasuna announced this Friday its decision to appear in the judicial case that will be opened as a result of the incidents that occurred last Saturday, February 21, at El Sadar, at the end of the league match against Real Madrid.

This was reported by Osasuna in a statement, after two people were arrested and four others injured – two spectators and two police officers – in altercations that took place inside the stadium at the end of the match between the Rojillos and Real Madrid, corresponding to matchday 25 of LaLiga EA Sports.

The Pamplona entity has considered that appearing in the case “is the only way to guarantee the defense of the rights of its members.” The club has stated that “it does not support any insult, aggression or violent behavior” and that it will act “forcefully in response to this”, but it will also “act in defense of the rights of its members and fans if at any time they have been violated.”

In this sense, he explained that, within the internal investigation that he is carrying out, he has requested viewing of the cameras installed in the El Sadar stadium, considering that “they are essential to adequately reconstruct the events and determine whether or not there are responsibilities.” “Osasuna only has images from surveillance cameras of the facilities, but does not have access to those cameras installed both in hallways, vomitories and in the stands themselves, which are the responsibility of the National Police,” he indicated.

In this sense, the Navarrese club “has seen its request to access those images, which are crucial to determine how all the actors involved in the disproportionate scenes that occurred after the meeting, have been denied for the moment”, so it will request to be part of the judicial process as a private prosecution “in defense of its rights and those of its members.”
