The Vienna Capitals are getting reinforcements before the play-offs

Before the first game of the Vienna Capitals in the ICE Hockey League pre-play-offs against Fehervar (Wednesday, 7:15 p.m.) the Viennese hit the transfer market again. Of those eliminated Pioneers Vorarlberg come captain Kevin Macierzynski and Ramon Schnetzer.

The two’s contracts ended with the season with the Pioneers. According to KURIER information, at least Schnetzer is known to be staying longer in Vienna, where he also owns an apartment and partly grew up.

The important goal for Austria

The team striker took part in May Austria’s historic quarter-finals at the World Cup. In the 5-2 win against France he scored the decisive 3-0 (16th).

“I’ve wanted to play here for a long time, now it’s finally worked out,” says Schnetzer. Macierzynski emphasized: “The games against the Caps were always hot this season, the atmosphere in the STEFFL Arena was always great. I’m really looking forward to the games against Fehervar.”

The game is played in best-of-three mode on Wednesday and Friday. If the score is 1-1, the decision will be made on Sunday in Vienna.
