Top performance from Suvi Minkkine and Tero Seppälä in the invitational competition

Biathlon world stars gathered on Monday in the aftermath of the Olympic Games at Stockholm’s Olympic Stadium in the Skidskyttekampen invitational competition.

Represented Finland in the competition Suvi Minkkinen and Tero Seppälän formed by the mixed doubles relay team. Finland took third place in the competition.

The Norwegian team of three won the competition Vetle Christiansen and June Arnekleiv. Second place was taken by Norway’s second team with a composition Martin Uldal and Ingre Tandrevold.

The final race was decided on the last ski run, where Seppälä had to bow to two Norwegians. The trio left the last vertical shooting position one distance. Seppälä arrived at the finish line 3.7 seconds behind Christiansen.

in Stockholm competed in the mixed doubles relay and in the men’s and women’s short individual races. Only those athletes who were left out of the final race of the mixed doubles relay took part in the individual competitions.

The women’s individual competition was won by Austria Tamara Steineron the men’s side, the US Campbell Wright.

The Skidskyttekampen was held at Stockholm’s Olympic Stadium for the third time. Minkkinen and Seppälä won the mixed doubles relay of the competition a year ago. Last year, the win brought the Finnish pair harness a prize pool of 14,500 euros.
