Lewandowski receives the discharge and enters the call for Athletic-Barça

 

FC Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski has received a medical discharge from his bone fracture in the orbit of his left eye and has entered the squad list for this Saturday’s LaLiga EA Sports match against Athletic Club in San Mamés (9:00 p.m.), the Barça club has confirmed.

The Polish attacker, who missed the second leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals against Atlético de Madrid after being injured in LaLiga against Villarreal, was discharged this Saturday and is part of a squad that also includes defender Eric Garcia, who was not in the cup duel due to suspension.

German coach Hansi Flick will still be without midfielders Frenkie de Jong and Gavi and Danish defender Andreas Christensen, who are joined by full-backs Jules Koundé and Alejandro Balde, both injured on Tuesday against the red and whites.

The full list of 22 players called up includes Cancelo, Araujo, Cubarsí, Ferran Torres, Pedri, Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Joan Garcia, Rashford, Fermín, Casado, Gerard Martin, Roony, Olmo, Bernal, Eric Garcia, Szczesny, Kochen, Cortés, Espart and Espart Tommy.
