Record Olympic champion Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo suffered a concussion in a fall in the cross-country skiing World Cup in Drammen, Norway. “I fell yesterday and hit my head pretty hard, but luckily everything is okay,” Klaebo wrote on Instagram. The 29-year-old now wants to rest for a few days, not do any training and not use the internet.
The Norwegian also fell the day before after American Ben Ogden fell and had to be taken to hospital for examinations.
At the recently concluded Winter Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Klaebo won six gold medals, something no athlete had ever achieved at a winter edition of the Olympics. In total, the Norwegian has already won eleven Olympic gold medals, also a record.
