OM recharges their batteries with Zidane, “the most famous Marseillais on the planet”, before the end of the season

Olympique de Marseille has only one objective this season: qualification for the next Champions League. Third thanks to their success against Lyon, Toulouse and Auxerre, the Marseillais are currently in the lead. But they still have to play eight games to close a season that has been eventful, with numerous movements of players, coaches and managers.

To unite the group before this home stretch, Habib Beye, the new coach of the Phocéens, decided to bet on a local legend: Zinedine Zidane. The OM team and staff went to the padel club of the former number 10 of the France team, “the most famous Marseillais on the planet”.

An afternoon under the sun, racket in hand and close to the star, who undoubtedly gave them some valuable encouragement.

On an Instagram publication, where OM thanks “Zinedine Zidane for his wonderful welcome”, all the players seem in any case delighted with the moment. Without the Champions League and without the Coupe de France, the Phocaeans can now concentrate on Ligue 1 and the race for European places. The next two matches, against Lille and Monaco, will undoubtedly be decisive.
