Donna Vekić passed the first round of qualification for the WTA in Miami

Croatian tennis player Donna Vekić117th in the WTA rankings, successfully started her way through the qualifications at the WTA 1000 tournament, which is held in Miami. At the start of the qualification Vekić defeated 23-year-old American Whitney Osuigwe, the 160th player in the world, 6-4, 6-2.

Each tennis player held her service game until 3-3 when Veki reached the key break in the first set. Code 5-4 is Vekić served for a 1-0 lead in the sets and found herself in a tricky situation as she lost two opening points in that game, but still served for an early lead in the sets.

At the beginning of the second set, there were three break games in a row, with Vekić made two, and the American made one. Then she ran away to Vekić to 5-1 and thus solved the question of the winner of this match. In the second round of qualification, the Croatian tennis player will play against the 12th seed, New Zealander Lulu Sun, who defeated Uzbekistan’s Maria Timofejeva 6-4, 7-6(5).
