Raphael Haaser seems nice and slow in the departure to get better and better. The Tyrolean is competing in his first full season as a downhill skier this World Cup winter, and he is now starting to experience success.

Just last weekend he had Giant slalom world champion from Saalbach-Hinterglemm achieved his best downhill result with fifth place in Courchevel. Haaser also took this momentum with him to the World Cup finals in Norway.
Best time for Hrobat
In the first downhill training in Kvitfjell, the 28-year-old was fourth best Austrians. Raphael Haaser lost 44 hundredths of a second to the best time of Slovenia’s Miha Hrobat.
Daniel Hemetsberger ended up in fifth place, Courchevel winner Vincent Kriechmayr came eighth.
Hütter Twelfth
Landed in the women’s first downhill training Cornelia Hütter as the best Austrian in twelfth place. Olympic champion Breezy Johnson (USA) set the best time.
