Former NFL superstar Tom Brady has been busy making a second comeback – and it hasn’t sparked much enthusiasm in the NFL. The now 48-year-old reported this in a TV interview. “I actually asked and they (the NFL, editor’s note) didn’t like the idea very much, so I’ll leave it at that,” Brady said. “We explored a lot of different things and I’m very happy in retirement. That’s what I’ll say.”
Brady has won the Super Bowl seven times in his career, making him the most successful professional in NFL history. He ended his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2022 and changed his mind 40 days later to play another season. Brady has been officially retired since February 2023 and now has shares in the Las Vegas Raiders as a minority owner – which was one of the reasons why the NFL is critical of a comeback. As CNBC reported, an NFL spokesman said there would be salary cap issues if an active player owned shares in a team.
Brady recently took to the field at a flag football event and had a lot of fun. The sport will be part of the program for the first time at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028.
