Two Croatian magazine 24Satan reporter happened Friday morning rally driver Craig Breenin at the accident site on the asphalt road between Golubovac and Lobor in northern Croatia.
The Huyndai, driven by Breen, 33, veered off the road at a right-hand bend and hit a wooden fence on the ground just after noon on Thursday.
The Irishman died instantly. His co-driver James Falton survived the accident without physical injuries.
The video published by 24Sata on Friday showed palpable signs of the previous day’s tragedy.
There are braking marks on the asphalt and the slope next to the road is crushed by car tires. The fence that Breen hit with his car is broken into pieces and wooden parts are scattered here and there.
A few candles have been brought next to the fence.
To drive out the reasons that led to it have not been made public. Croatian police are investigating the case.
According to 24Sata, Breen’s body was transported from the accident site to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, for an autopsy.
Secretary General of Rally Croatia Davorin Stetner commented on the tragedy at a press conference on Thursday. He described Breen’s death note as shocking.
“We are trying to find out what exactly happened. We do our best to ensure that there are as few fatal accidents as possible in our races,” Stetner stated Morningmagazine by.
The race organization has not yet announced whether the Croatian rally will be run as planned. The competition is scheduled to start next Thursday.
