Paolini is in 2 sets, triumphing for Swiatek at Roland Garros

Nothing to do for Jasmine Paolini in the final of the women’s Roland Garros, the second Slam of the season hosted on the Parisian clay.

The 28 year old Tuscan tennis player, n.15 WTA and 12th seeded,already certain of rising to number 7 in the ranking from Monday, surrendered in two sets to Iga Swiatek: the Polish champion, number 1 in the world rankings and on the scoreboard, won in two sets with a score of 6-2 6-1.

For Swiatek this is the fourth success in Paris, the third in a row. Paired with Sara Errani, Paolini will return to the court tomorrow (11.30 am) to challenge the pair formed by the American Coco Gauff and the Czech Katerina Siniakova in the doubles final.
