“Inter Miami will be my last team,” Messi told ESPN Sports Network. I like to play football. “I enjoy everything more because I realize that I only have a little time left.”

He added: “I am not ready to leave football. “I’ve done this all my life. I love football, and I enjoy training every day and the matches. Yes, I always feel a little afraid that it will all end.”

Messi, an eight-time Ballon d’Or winner, is preparing with his country to defend the Copa America title in the tournament that begins on June 20 in the United States.

Argentina will play its opening match against Canada, before facing its rival Chile in Group A on June 25, then playing against Peru four days later.
