Team without division brings more audience to the stadium than half of the Brasileirão

Even competing in the Second Division of Paranaense, the Paraná Club has an average paying audience greater than half of the teams in the Brasileirão. In front of 13 thousand people, Tricolor beat Patriotas this Saturday (15), 1-0, and reached their fourth victory in seven rounds of the competition.

Host in four matches so far, the club received 90,262 people in three different stadiums (Ligga Arena and Couto Pereira, in addition to Vila itself), with an average of 22,565 per game. This number would place the team among the ten with the highest average paying audience in the world. Brasileirãoabove teams like Palm trees e Fluminensefor example, which have an average of 18,509 and 18,175, respectively.

Flamengo, São Paulo and Corinthians lead the category with average paying audiences above 40 thousand. O Athletico is in the top 10, with an average of 25,969, ranking seventh. The average was calculated between four matches in which the teams were home.

Paraná totals more than R$3.8 million in games in the Segundona

In the debut of the Second Division, against Nacional, Paraná received 36,891 people at the Ligga Arena, reaching an income of R$ 1,812,895.00, the highest in the club’s history. In the second match, they faced Apucarana and took 24 thousand people to Couto Pereira, with income of R$ 937,355.00.

In the duel against Laranja Mecânica, upon returning to Vila Capanema after a long hiatus, the audience was 15,239 fans and raised R$587,290.00. Finally, in the triumph over Patriotas, the audience reached 13,138 paying – and income of R$470,350.00.

In total, Tricolor reached R$3.8 million in income from matches in 2024, an important value for a club that is still far from resuming a national division to play in. In the best scenario, the return to Series D contention could happen in 2026.
