Germany has had a great start to the European Football Championship, the 5:1 win against Scotland in the opening match has thrilled many people here – and awakened the belief that they could go far in this tournament. On Wednesday, the DFB team will face Hungary. The second group match will take place in Stuttgart, where it will probably be a little more difficult than against the Scots.

How good is the German team really? What insights did the first few days of the European Championship provide from the DFB’s perspective? And are the Hungarians better than their defeat against Switzerland suggests? These questions will be answered this time in the SZ football talk show “And now for the sport”. Moderator Jonas Beckenkamp speaks with two well-informed guests, the European Championship reporters Martin Schneider and Sebastian Fischer.
