The Croatian referee will officiate a match in the Champions League for the first time in his career

Croatian football referee Patrik Kolarić (28) will referee the match of the first preliminary round Champions League between Kazastan Ordabasija and Moldavian Petrocuba and it will be his first distribution of justice in an elite club competition. The duel will be played on July 10, and Kolari’s assistants will be Wound Pajić i Ivan Starčevićwhile the fourth judge will be Dario Bel.

Kolarić refereed only one European match in his career and that of the first preliminary round Conference leagues last season between Irish Dundalka and the Gibraltar Club Bruno’s Magpies (3-1). Debut in HNL he did more than two years ago at the match Šibenik i Slaven Belup (3-1), and in the last round of the season, he served justice in the match Dynamo i Hajduk at Maksimir (3-1).

Last season Kolarić refereed 21 matches of the highest level of Croatian club football, and last June he refereed a match in Cyprus AEL-a i Apollon Limassola as part of the cooperation between the Croatian and Cypriot federations.
