After Al-Ahly match penalties.. Zamalek faces a new decisive decision

The management of the Egyptian club Zamalek is on a date with making a new decisive decision, after the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association announced the schedule of the remaining matches of the Nile League Championship, in response to one of its previous demands that led to an apology for playing the Al-Ahly match on Tuesday, and being subject to penalties.

The league announced the schedule of the remaining matches, hours after statements by Ahmed Salem, the spokesman for Zamalek Club, about the board of directors not making a decision regarding playing the match against Ceramica in the 28th round of the league, on the evening of Saturday, June 29.

The correspondence regarding Zamalek’s decisions to apologize for the Al-Ahly match also included the signature of Colonel Mohamed Fahim, Managing Director of the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association, instead of Amer Hussein, Chairman of the Competitions Committee, in an unusual precedent that indicates an unannounced change in response to pressure from the White Castle’s Board of Directors.

Egyptian media reported that the Zamalek administration will meet to discuss participation in the Ceramica match, and announce its decision clearly before Thursday evening.
