FC Bayern loans young professional Zvonarek to Graz

FC Bayern Munich has loaned young professional Lovro Zvonarek to Austria. The 19-year-old will play for Sturm Graz next season and gain experience there, as the German record champions announced. Graz sensationally won the Austrian championship and cup last season and is therefore allowed to compete in the Champions League. In Europe’s premier class, which is being played according to a new model, a duel with Bayern is then possible.

The Croatian U21 international has played five Bundesliga games for Bayern so far and scored one goal. In May, he received a professional contract until June 30, 2027.

Munich’s sporting director Christoph Freund said that the offensive player “has everything he needs to make it in professional football.” He is convinced that Zvonarek will take the next steps in his development in Austria. “He has a strong character. We will closely monitor his path in the coming season from Munich.”
