The ‘Hispanos’ are doing well against Argentina in their first test towards Paris

The Spanish men’s handball team beat Argentina (26-32) this Thursday in the first friendly match in preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, held at the FDI Stadium in Montpellier, France.

The ‘Hispanos’ went from strength to strength against the Albiceleste to start getting into shape with the aim of getting into shape for the Olympic event where they will debut on July 27 against Slovenia. Both teams showed a rhythm typical of the preseason phase.

Spain took control from the start but Argentina reacted after ten minutes until Jordi Ribera’s men got serious in defence to give rhythm to an attack where Dani Fernández stood out with 9 points (17-20).

After the break, the ‘Hispanos’ maintained their good form at the back, starting with Rodrigo Corrales’ saves, establishing the advantage until reaching the maximum lead ten minutes from the end (22-29).

From less to more, as is also normal in the preparation, Ribera’s team finished the first test of preparation for the Games with good feelings. On Saturday, the second round against the albiceleste in Esplugues de Llobregat, starting at 19.30.
