Athletico registered the steering wheel Gabriel and the attacker Niko for the South American competition. However, he left the midfielder Joe Victor out of the relationship. The three arrived as reinforcements after the start of the group stage of the tournament.
Gabriel will continue wearing the number 3 shirt, Nikão will wear number 34 in the continental tournament. Defender Pedro Henrique and left-back Vinicius Kauê, both traded by the club in April, left the list.
According to Conmebol regulations, the club can make up to five substitutions in the list of registered players for the playoffs and the round of 16 of the competition (both phases added together).
Registration for the playoffs closes this Friday (12), while for the round of 16 only on August 9. In other words, if Athletico gets past Porteño Hill will be able to regularize three more reinforcements for the next phase.
The first duel between Furacão and Cerro for the playoffs will be on Thursday (18)at 9:30 pm, at the Nueva Olla Stadium, in Asunción, Paraguay. The return leg takes place on July 25, also Thursday, at 9:30 pm, at the Ligga Arena, in Curitiba.
