Carlos Alcaraz batte al tie break Novak Djokovic and conquers the Wibledon tournament for the second year in a row. The 21-year-old Spaniard won the men’s singles of the “Championships”, the third seasonal Grand Slam event, which took place on the grass courts of the All England Club in London, beating the Serbian in a one-sided final with a score of 6-2 6-2 7-6 (4).
The tennis player born in Murcia, number 3 in the world and seeding, literally dominated the final act of the tournament, defeating the 37-year-old from Belgrade, number 2 in the ATP ranking and second favorite of the draw, in about two and a half hours of play. The only thrill of the match was at 5-4 in the third set in favor of Alcaraz, who squandered three match points on his serve (he was ahead 40-0). Then the Spaniard closed the set and the match in the tie break.
