The strongest basketball league sold TV rights for 77 billion dollars

American basketball NBA the league agreed to sell television rights for the next 11 years ESPN-u which is owned Walt Disney, NBC Universal which is owned Comcasta the amazon.com-u and for 77 billion dollars.

This new contract will start from the 2025/26 season. The league also rejected the offer TNT-awhich is owned by Warner Bros Discoveryja because it was lower than Amazon’s offer, so after more than four decades, the cooperation between the NBA and TNT ended.

According to the new agreement, Disney will broadcast 80 games of the league part of the season, NBCUniversal 100 games, and Amazon 75 games. The exclusive owner of the rights to broadcast the playoff final remains ABC, which has held those rights since 2003.
