Spain breaks down the Chinese wall (90-89) in overtime

The Spanish women’s basketball team won this Sunday against China (90-89), in a duel that went into overtime, in the first match of the group stage of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which was exciting and suspenseful everywhere and ended with Spanish celebrations.

They had to come back after a poor first half and, with the key contribution of inside player Megan Gustafson (29 points) and outside player Leo Rodríguez (25), Spain was able to force overtime and, in it, show their superiority over the Asians.

Spain has started the Olympic tournament well and has strengthened its mental side thanks to an epic comeback that marks tournaments. However, they will have to improve their defense because China was very good on the three-point line and was close to winning despite having more than 20 losses.
