Australian sprinter Kaden Groves to stay with Alpecin-Deceuninck for two more years

Australian sprinter Kaden Groves will remain with Alpecin-Deceuninck for two more years, a team he joined in 2023 and with which he has achieved eight stage victories in that period, four of them in the Vuelta Ciclista a España, a race he is contesting for the third consecutive year and in which he won the regularity jersey last year.

After his three wins in the last edition, Groves added another victory in Ourém in the second stage of La Vuelta 2024. Thus, the sprinter acknowledged that he feels “at home” in the Belgian team and that he feels “confident” knowing that he has “the best” supporting him “on and off the road”.

“My goals are the same as those of the team. I want to pursue my dream of winning stages in all three Grand Tours, but I also have big ambitions for the spring classics,” the Australian rider said in a statement to his team.

The Aussie arrived in 2023 at the Alpecin-Deceuninck discipline after his debut as a professional with Team BikeExchange-Jayco, a team from his native country and with which he achieved his first victories, the first of which was at the Tour of Fuzhou (China) in 2017. His first success in a ‘major’ came in 2022 at La Vuelta, an idyllic date for him because he has accumulated those five triumphs so far.
