Saudi boxer wins Riyadh Season fight in Los Angeles

In an unprecedented achievement, champion Ziyad Al-Mayouf, the first Saudi professional boxer, achieved a remarkable victory in his sixth historic professional fight in the first sporting event of the Riyadh season to be held outside the Kingdom, in Los Angeles, California.

The event was held under the patronage of Advisor Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, and witnessed a number of exciting fights, the most prominent of which was Al-Mayouf’s confrontation with the third-ranked boxer in Poland, Michal, to become the first Saudi boxer to fight in the United States.

Al-Muaiouf represented the Kingdom in this fight not only as a boxer and athlete, but as a symbol and bearer of the flag of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Known to the global audience as “Zizo,” he always strives to achieve more than just victory in fights; he seeks to change the stereotype and impressions about the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Al-Mayouf gave a remarkable performance, showing off his incredible speed and unique left hand power, to dazzle the global audience and confirm his status as a professional boxer to be reckoned with. While two judges ruled the fight a draw, world-renowned referee Zachary Young declared Ziyad Al-Mayouf the clear winner. Al-Mayouf thus continued his unbeaten professional record.
