Bundesliga football club VfL Wolfsburg apparently wants to sign Turkish international Salih Özcan from Borussia Dortmund before the end of the transfer deadline on Friday. This is reported by the “Kicker” and the “Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung”. The 26-year-old midfielder fits the profile of the sought-after defensive sweeper and is only a substitute in Dortmund.
In Wolfsburg, a lot could change in the squad by Friday evening. Frenchman Maxence Lacroix is being courted by Premier League club Crystal Palace. If he is sold to the English Premier League club, VfL would also sign another defender. The preferred candidate for this position for weeks has been Frenchman Ismael Doukouré from Racing Strasbourg.
