Teemu Pukki believes in Huuhkajie’s change after the Greece defeat: “We know we are better”

According to Puk, there were many positives in Huuhkajie’s game in Greece.

The summary is made by artificial intelligence and checked by a human.

Huhkajat are going through the usual game change, Teemu Pukki is satisfied with the development.

Pukki watched Finland’s 0–3 loss against Greece in the opening of the Nations League from the bench.

Puki’s MLS games have not gone well, but he wants to continue playing soccer.

Finland meets England on Tuesday at Wembley, Pukki is looking forward to the game against Harry Kane.

With squealers there is a learning process going on right now, when the national team is going through a change in the standard of play. The national team’s all-time best scorer Teemu Pukki said at Monday’s international press conference that he was satisfied with his experience.

“The week before the Greece game was really positive. I think we trained with good intensity and went through how we want to play,” Pukki said at Wembley Stadium.

On Saturday in Piraeus, Pukki watched from the bench as Finland lost 0-3 to Greece in the opening match of the Nations League.

“There were positive things in the game, but there was also a lot to improve. Of course, it takes time to get the game to the level we want. At least this beginning has been positive in my opinion. Of course, the result against Greece gives a really bad picture of it. There’s a lot of potential here, and we know we’re better than what the result said.”

Pukki also stated that the Huuhkaji have important games ahead of them, where they can develop their game.

Buck games in the North American MLS league have not been going very well lately. Pukki stated that his contract will continue until next summer.

“Let’s see what happens then. I still want to play football.”

Pukki played five great years in England at Norwich City, but he never got to play at Wembley Stadium during that time. Norwich went straight from the Championship to the Premier League twice, and did not have to play the promotion qualifier at Wembley, where it is traditionally played.

“I am really excited to be in England again. I had five great years here. I don’t know, maybe I was lucky I never played at Wembley. The stadium looks incredible and is one of the most iconic football stadiums.”

At the press conference included midfielder Glen Kamara is the only player in the current Huhkaji team who has played at Wembley. Last May, Kamara played for Leeds United in the promotion final, which they lost to Southampton.

“It’s nice to be in London again. I’m excited to play in front of my friends and family here. I hope we play better.”

The English media asked Teemu Puki for his opinion on England’s number one striker Harry Kanestawho will play his 100th cap on Tuesday.

“If you think of all the strikers in the world, he is one of the best, if not the best. He has scored goals over the years. His work for English football has been significant. I’m also excited to play against him. He is a great player,” Pukki said.

Finland will meet England on Tuesday at London’s Wembley stadium in the second match of the Nations League.
