Apple Intelligence coming to iPhone 15 Pro, iPad, and Mac with M1 chip and later starting in October

Apple has confirmed that Apple Intelligence It will arrive in October in US English for users in that country, will expand in December to other countries such as the United Kingdom and will integrate new languages, including Spanish, starting in 2025, for use on iPhone 16, iPhone 15 Pro models and devices such as iPad or Mac with M1 chip and later versions.

The company presented Apple Intelligence last June, within the framework of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Then, it commented that it was a free ecosystem that used Artificial Intelligence (AI) to personalize the user experience.

This Monday, during the presentation of its new products, the technology firm has recalled that the iPhone 16 family of smartphones will soon have support for Apple Intelligence, which will arrive with the beta version of iOS 18.1. It will also reach tablets through iPadOS 18.1 and computers with macOS Sequoia 15.1.

In this way, it will be available on the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, the most advanced models of iPhone 15 -Pro y Pro Max-, as well as iPads and Macs with M1 chip and later that have Siri and device languages ​​set to US English. Additional platforms and languages ​​are expected to be added over the next year.

As for its availability, during the event it was also announced that the first version of Apple Intelligence will arrive in the United States in Octoberwith support for English. In December, it will be launched in other varieties of this language for Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom.

As early as 2025, however, Apple plans to implement compatibility of this system with other languages, such as Spanish, Chinese, French or Japanese; although, for the moment, it has not specified in which regions it can be used or a specific date.

APPLE INTELLIGENCE FEATURES

Apple recalled during the presentation of its products that this ecosystem integrates different tools to facilitate writing, generate images with Genmoji and Image Playground -which will arrive later this year- or search for photographs in the Gallery by indicating only their description.

Apple Intelligence will also offer visual intelligence, which works similarly to Google Lens, as well as summaries in the Mail app that show the most important information or priority notifications that are placed at the top.

All of these AI-powered features won’t arrive with the first update to iOS, iPadOS, and macOS Sequoia, but will be added to Apple Intelligence in the coming months through separate software updates, as discussed during the product’s unveiling.

In this way, at the end of the year and in the following months, the Graphic Wand feature will be added, to make notes more visually attractive by converting them into sketches, or Private Cloud Compute, which “brings device privacy and security to the cloud to have even more intelligence.”

Thanks to this feature, user information is never stored or shared with Apple and will only be used to fulfill your requests. The brand also noted that for those who use ChatGPT through Siri or writing tools, mechanisms have been integrated to protect privacy, such as hidden IP addresses.
