Google’s Gemini Live conversational AI is now free for all Android devices

Google has announced that its AI-powered conversational tool Gemini Live is now available to all Android device users for free.

The company introduced Gemini Live in mid-August at its Made By Google event as a mobile experience that allows for fluid dialogue with Gemini, which can answer questions.

It also allows users to interrupt the responses offered by this artificial intelligence to delve deeper into specific points of the conversation or pause it to resume it later.

Available in hands-free mode for use in the background or while the device is locked, Gemini Live was first available to Gemini Advanced subscribers in English and for Android devices, then later to iOS and more languages.

The company has now announced that this tool, which includes a dozen different voices that can be configured according to users’ preferences, is now available for more owners of devices with the operating system developed by Google, free of charge.

9to5Google has indicated that Live does not have support for Gmail, YouTube Music and other Google apps, but that this capability will also be available in the future.
