Defense Committee in the Chamber: appeal for cybersecurity

As part of the fact-finding investigation on cyber defense promoted by the Defense Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, ANGI – National Association of Young Innovators, a point of reference for innovation, intervened today and, through its President Gabriele Ferrieri (formerly ForbesU30), presented the report and related recommendations as a contribution from the innovators and companies of the ANGI network on the topic of defense and cyber security.

Key elements at the heart of the ANGI appeal were: strengthening sanctions for cybercrimes; optimizing resources to promote greater interoperability of systems; raising awareness and training to spread a culture of digital security; greater investment in research and development to develop new technologies and security solutions; greater international cooperation to address global cybersecurity challenges; and creating a single control room on the security of critical defense infrastructures.

During the report, data from the Cybersecurity Observatory promoted by ANGI Ricerche were also presented, to which were added extracts from the report promoted by Tinexta Cyber ​​(among the main supporting partners of ANGI on the topic of cybersecurity), which highlighted the panorama of cyber threats with a focus on ransomware attacks, phishing campaigns and emerging malware with a clear vision of the evolving tactics of cybercriminals and the sectors most affected, including healthcare, finance and public administration.
