Microsoft announces the 24H2 version update for Windows 11, which includes improvements in the management of computer resources, performance and user experience, and a variety of new features. Microsoft is also announcing a wide range of upgrades for the Copilot platform, including Copilot Voice that allows you to control the computer using voice commands and Click to Do that offers quick actions based on the content displayed on the computer screen, such as editing texts, images and searching

Today Microsoft announced the launch of the new Windows 11 update (version 24H2), which includes significant improvements in performance, computer resource management and communication capabilities. The launch of the update was made alongside the announcement of significant expansions in the capabilities of the Copilot, the personal assistant based on artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence developments in Copilot+

One of the main announcements is about expanding the capabilities of Copilot, which is designed to make the experience of using Windows 11-based computers more efficient and smoother than ever before. Copilot allows users to communicate with their computer in a more natural way, using voice, computer vision and advanced interactions. Among the innovations is Copilot Voice, which allows users to control the computer using voice commands.

Copilot helps not only in completing simple tasks but also in managing the daily information load. The ability to provide immediate answers, offer tips and even help in making decisions makes the system more personal and accessible.

In addition, Microsoft introduces Click to Do, an interactive tool that offers quick actions based on the content on the screen. For example, if text or an image is displayed, Copilot will suggest actions such as summarizing the content, performing a search, visual editing or sending an email immediately. The function allows you to work efficiently and save time, and adds intuitive options to the computer for daily use.

Microsoft is also introducing Copilot Daily, which helps users start their morning with the news and weather summary, read by the voice of their favorite personal assistant. Copilot Daily features content from authorized sources only, including partners such as Reuters, Axel Springer, Hearst Magazine and the Financial Times, with plans to add more sources in the future. Also, in the future, more personalization and control options will be added to this service, aimed at easing the daily information load.

Another update to Copilot is the Copilot Discover, which is designed to help users get started easily, with a guide to the possible interactions and personalization based on the history of using Microsoft services. Another innovation is the integration of Copilot in Microsoft Edge, which allows you to answer questions, summarize content, translate text or rewrite sentences directly from the browser with one click.

Microsoft is also introducing Copilot Labs, which allows users to try out experimental features, with the option to provide feedback that will influence further development. Among the experimental features you can find Copilot Vision, which recognizes what the user sees on the screen and provides relevant information in real time, and Think Deeper, which enables dealing with more complex questions through in-depth analysis.

Among the other innovations we can mention the Recall tool, which provides a new and innovative way to find content previously seen on the computer. Recall ensures the protection of user privacy through advanced security layers, including Windows Hello facial recognition. This feature allows you to recover documents, photos and other content that were previously scanned or viewed, all while preserving sensitive and confidential information through automatic filtering.

In addition, Generative Fill and Generative Erase are now available in the Paint application, allowing you to edit and remove unwanted elements in images accurately and efficiently. This AI technology is based on an advanced diffusion model that provides fast and reliable results without the need for a subscription or additional payment.

Upgrading the computing experience in Windows 11

The new Windows 11 update includes features such as energy saving to extend battery life, support for Bluetooth LE Audio technology to improve support for hearing aids, and support for Wi-Fi 7 technology for a faster and more reliable Internet experience. In addition, version 24H2 also brings with it support for HDR backgrounds and improvements to the user interface of the taskbar and system settings.

Microsoft also promotes the photography experience in Windows 11 with the Super Resolution feature, which allows you to improve the quality of low-resolution images and turn them into sharp and clear images, up to 4K level, in a matter of seconds. This feature is made possible thanks to the artificial intelligence capabilities built into the NPU of Copilot+ PCs, which provide fast and accurate processing.

A look to the future

Microsoft continues to invest in artificial intelligence technologies and innovative developments that will support users in all aspects of their lives. The innovations in Copilot and Windows 11 reflect the company’s commitment to lead personal computing into the future, emphasizing an intuitive user experience, maintaining privacy and security, and constantly improving performance.

The new updates have already started rolling out among Windows Insiders, and they will continue to spread over a wider market this November. Windows 11 users will be able to enjoy the new features through automatic updating through Windows Update.
