In the list of farmers’ scientists this year, there are 37 people with academic titles and degrees who are professors, associate professors, doctors, and masters. Many intellectuals and scientists are authors of inventions and technical improvements, such as Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Thai Hoa, Head of the Department of Agronomy, University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University, with 35 research topics. Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hong, Vice President of the Vietnam Horticultural Association, with research on selecting and transferring to farmers MD7, MD9, L14 peanut varieties with productivity, quality, and resistance to green wilt disease, brings high economic efficiency. Mr. Vo Van Ut, 63 years old, Long An, invented a corn seeding machine, a sesame sowing tool, and a peanut plucking machine to help free up labor for farmers. The “Farmer’s Scientist” program is chaired by the Central Vietnam Farmers’ Union in coordination with the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. , perform.
