A bug in Windows 11 causes the dreaded “blue screen” and crashes after the last update

An error with an optional update Windows 11 has caused computers where it has been installed to experience the blue screen of death and reboot into recovery mode, an issue that is currently being investigated Microsoft.

The cumulative update Windows 11 KB5043145 includes a series of errors that are causing the blue screen of death and green screen of death to appear on computers where it has been installed.

Affected users experience after installation the computer crashing or entering a reboot loop that ends in the activation of recovery mode, as reported in Windows Latest. And although it is an optional update, some users have experienced its installation automatically.

Microsoft has confirmed to the aforementioned media that they are aware of these problems and that they are investigating reports from affected users. The bug appears to affect versions 22H2 and 23H2 of Windows 11.
