What improvements do the latest models bring?

HP Imagine 2024 It is a global event where the technology giant announced, in its Palo Alto offices, its news, both in the corporate and domestic lines. One of the most interesting points is the launch of HP Print AI.

This novelty represents the arrival of the first smart printing experiences for the home and also for the office or large format printing. The key is in the software from which the operation is carried out.

According to a survey by HP, more than half of printing jobs come from web browsersincluding online articles, travel documents, recipes and how-to guides.

However, this modality is subject to great paper waste since traditional machines, without making distinctions, print blank spaces, cropped photos and unwanted web ads.

AI removes ads and white space.

The new Perfect Output platform analyzes the content and suggests the best way to position the elements on the page, eliminating all the leftovers to shorten the distances between what you see on the screen and what you want to obtain.

It also optimizes spreadsheet printing by keeping graphs and tables on a single page, rather than splitting them haphazardly.

It has an AI assistant to process natural language that it has contextual awareness which allows you to remember previous preferences and questions, with the aim of providing better automated support.

Plus, it added “conversational prompts” to turn photos into greeting cards by adding custom styles and fonts. According to the firm, it can also automatically increase the scale of photos.

“The introduction of these solutions across our portfolio will simplify printing, ignite creativity and accelerate collaboration, while ensuring customer data is protected and kept private,” said Tuan Tran, president of print and solutions at HP.

For all these tasks there is no omniscient AI capable of completing multiple tasks simultaneously, but rather the firm made agreements with different specialized companies to achieve better results.

Remote help

With Workforce it is not necessary to take the machine to technical service.

In addition to presenting new printing equipment, it announced a reinforcement of managed services (HP Workforce). Thus, through AI monitoring at the workstation, failures are anticipated before they occur.

The objective is that the consumer does not need to send their equipment to support to have it repaired and lose days of work, but rather, thanks to the new remote administration capabilities, an online diagnosis can be performed.

Once the fault is detected, the technician will be able to access advanced options such as BIOS management or even display a previous image of the entire system, so that the user can continue working while it is repaired.

“We are at the intersection of two important trends: artificial intelligence and flexible work. Both have a profound impact on our lives,” said Dave Shull, president of workforce solutions at HP.

Reinforced hardware

The new HP OmniBook Ultra Flip.

HP Imagine unveiled next-generation AI PCs, AI-enabled video conferencing, and a scalable GPU performance sharing solution, especially for AI developers.

People work in different settings throughout the workday, whether in a meeting room, at a desk, or on the go. 72% of employees say it is important to have access to hardware that suits their work style.

One of the most attractive is the 14-inch HP OmniBook Ultra Flip with next-generation AI. It is the first 2-in-1 laptop that offers style, performance and flexibility for those looking for the most agile experience.

Recommended for tackling intense workflows locally and in the cloud, the 14-inch HP EliteBook

These laptops are the company’s first step towards reinventing work. They are betting on AI that is integrated into almost their entire product line, through different LLM models to cover all needs.

As AI workloads increase and greater computing power is required, the solution is Z by HP Boost, which maximizes GPU utilization to deliver scalable, on-demand performance.
