Nintendo surprises with Alarmo, the clock that transforms the alarm into a game

While the world anxiously awaits the heir to Nintendo Switch, the Kyoto company surprises everyone with an unexpected announcement: Alarmo, a revolutionary alarm clock that promises to transform mornings into a fun and engaging experience. Forget the classic annoying ringtones and prepare to be woken up by the melodies of your favorite Nintendo games. Alarmo is much more than a simple alarm clock: equipped with a screen, speakers and motion sensors, this device offers a one-of-a-kind interactive experience.

At launch, sounds and music from successful titles such as Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 3, Ring Fit Adventure, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Pikmin 4 will be available. But not only that: every movement made after the ringtone will be accompanied from sound effects taken from games, creating a playful and immersive atmosphere. Additionally, heavy sleepers might be “reprimanded” by Bowser and other antagonists from the games included in the alarm clock.

Alarmo is also a connected device: thanks to online updates, Nintendo promises to expand the library of sounds and music available. The first DLCs announced include Mario Kart 8 and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The alarm will be available exclusively to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers starting this week on My Nintendo Store. The expected price for Europe is €99.99, in line with that announced for the American market. The exclusivity for subscribers to the online service will last until mid-January 2025, after which Alarmo will presumably be available for purchase by everyone.
