Rising for mobile takes players to an alternate world before the Guardians

The Destiny video game franchise will be expanded with a new title for mobile devices, Destiny: Rising, which will begin testing in November and introduces players to an alternate world prior to the era of the Guardians.

NetEase Games is the studio in charge of the development of this new title, responsible for presenting “a completely new experience” that they will update over time, as the executive producer, Jacob Chen, has expressed in the announcement that they have shared on video.

The creative manager at Bungie, Terry Redfield, has explained that the game is developed in an alternative universe, with its own timeline, although it maintains the identity of the rest of the Destiny games.

The story begins after an alien invasion that has left humanity on the brink of its disappearance and that is trying to be reborn in an era full of opportunities and mysteries, in which heroes and legends begin to be forged, before the appearance of the Guardians.

The developers have focused on the characters, without forgetting the exploration and secondary stories, which open the door to new adventures. They have also been introduced new combat styles and different game modes.

The mobile game will be available on November 1 at a closed alpha test, which requires registration of interested players.
