Amazon launches four new e-readers, including the first in color

Amazon just announced four new Kindle e-readers. The Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition is the first color Kindle, designed to deliver “paper-like color richness” for book covers and highlighted text. Images can be enlarged “without worrying about text and images becoming grainy.” It is waterproof, offers quick page turning, wireless charging, up to 8 weeks of battery life and a new light guide with nitride LEDs. It will be available from October 30th at the price of 299 euros.

The new Kindle Scribe is both an e-reader and a notepad. The 300ppi screen is designed to feel like writing on paper when using Amazon’s Premium Pencil, which features a new soft-tip eraser. It also offers a “one-of-a-kind” book writing experience, as well as the ability to take notes. The Active Canvas feature allows you to add notes directly onto the pages of a book and the text adapts automatically. Soon it will also be possible to add notes in the side panel, which can be hidden later. The built-in notebook is powered by artificial intelligence to summarize pages into concise points. Notes can also be made readable in preparation for export with a calligraphy-style font. The Kindle Scribe, with a price of 429 euros, will be available from December 4th, with pre-orders starting today.

The Kindle Paperwhite is the “fastest Kindle ever,” according to Amazon. The best-selling Kindle now has a larger 7-inch screen, allowing it to be thinner than previous generations, while still boasting up to three months of battery life. It is water resistant and has 16GB of memory. The Kindle Paperwhite is available from today starting from 169 euros. Finally, the entry-level Kindle is available from today starting from 109 euros and weighs just 160 grams. It offers a 300ppi anti-glare screen with faster page turning and 16GB of memory.
