Astro Bot updates with new free speedrun levels

Team Asobi, the studio behind the acclaimed Astro Bot recently released on PS5, has announced a slew of new free content coming to the platformer starting today, October 17th. Nicolas Doucet, director of the game, announced the news via a post on the PlayStation Blog, thanking the fans for the incredible support and reception received by Astro Bot. “Seeing the reactions of the players, both young and (older) adults, fills us with joy,” Doucet said. Following numerous fan requests for new content, the team has decided to release a series of speedrun levels, which will test players’ skills with timed challenges and online leaderboards.

The first level, Speed ​​at Work, is available today and sees players speed through a city in the clouds with the help of Barkster, the power-up bulldog. Every week until November 14th, a new speedrun level will be released, each with two new special Bots to save. In total, there will be 10 new characters to add to your collection, including Eve from Stellar Blade and characters from Helldivers. All updates will be available every Thursday at 3pm ET. “The best thing is that all this will have no additional cost,” concludes Doucet, reiterating Team Asobi’s commitment to supporting the game and its community.
