‘A different world’: Scholarships of 300 euros for students without adequate parental care

Students without adequate parental care have the opportunity to receive a valuable scholarship as part of the program “Another world” of OTP banka. 12 scholarships will be awarded in the amount of 300 euros per month, a total of 3,600 euros per year, during the entire duration of their studies, while their status as a full-time student lasts.
Scholarships are available to undergraduate and graduate students. Č four scholarships are intended for freshmen, i.e. first-year students, and eight scholarships go to senior students.

The contest is open until Thursday, October 31, 2024, and applications are accepted until 12 noon.

Total value of twelve scholarships for the academic year 2024/2025. amounts to 43,200, or almost 173,000 euros during the entire course of study.

According to data from 2023, there are almost 3,000 children in Croatia without adequate parental care, of which more than 200 graduate from high school every year. However, only a small number of them continue their education, which is why this program was designed to provide the necessary financial and moral support to young people in the most sensitive phase of their lives. “Another World” is part of OTP banka’s wider socially responsible activities, which includes a whole series of humanitarian and educational initiatives, and so far scholarships have been awarded to students with a weaker financial status and student athletes.
