Roborock Qrevo Curv, the cleaning robot that knows no obstacles

The Roborock Qrevo Curv, presented at IFA 2024, is proposed as one of the most powerful robot vacuum cleaners ever made. With an extraordinary suction power of 18,500 Pa and an innovative brush design, it can penetrate deep into the thickest carpets to deliver superior cleaning. In addition to the improved suction capabilities, the Qrevo Curv introduces a new design for the docking station: abandoning the traditional rectangular shape, the device is housed in a curved structure that resembles a dome.

The experience with the Roborock Qrevo Curv begins with its intuitive and complete companion app. After setting up the robot (which simply involves plugging it in and scanning a QR code), the Qrevo Curv will explore your home and create a detailed floor plan map. This map can be further customized via the app, allowing you to label different areas or set no-go zones to your liking. But that’s not all: the app is the control center for customizing your cleaning routines.

You can adjust every parameter, from the suction power to the flow of water for washing, from the cleaning paths to the number of passes. The SmartPlan feature, which automatically adjusts cleaning settings based on the level of dirt detected, proved particularly useful during our tests, offering flawless cleaning without requiring any manual intervention. The app also allows you to customize the docking station settings, including wash time and brush drying. In short, the Qrevo Curv is one of the most customizable robots on the market, capable of adapting to any cleaning need.

Among the most impressive features of the Qrevo Curv, the impeccable suction performance undoubtedly stands out. Although the oscillating mop mopping system has proven effective on hard floors, the 18,500 Pa suction power makes a difference, especially on carpets. In tests, the Qrevo Curv brilliantly overcame the challenge of high-pile carpets, which often pose difficulties for traditional robot vacuum cleaners. Its high suction power, combined with the innovative DuoDivide brush, is able to thoroughly remove dust, animal hair and debris.

Maintenance of the robot is surprisingly simple. The new DuoDivide brush effectively directs hair and threads towards a central opening, preventing them from getting tangled and compromising the efficiency of the robot. The FlexiArm side brush has also been redesigned: in addition to oscillating to clean along edges and around furniture, it now features a new type of bristles with a rubber cap that minimizes the risk of tangling. Roborock has endowed the Qrevo Curv with a unique ability: the ability to cross thresholds up to 4 centimeters high. At the beginning it may get stuck trying to climb something, but just provide directions on the app to avoid accidents.

Like all high-end robot vacuums, the Qrevo Curv returns to its docking station at the end of each cleaning cycle to recharge and empty the dust container. The replaceable dust bag has an autonomy of approximately seven weeks, in line with market standards. The docking station automatically washes and dries clothes, using integrated scrapers to remove stubborn dirt. The base of the docking station is removable and washable, for even more thorough cleaning.

The Roborock Qrevo Curv is certainly one of the best products of its kind. Not only is it one of the most powerful robot vacuum cleaners on the market, but it also offers an attractive design, high customization and impeccable cleaning on all surfaces. Its “enthusiasm” in tackling obstacles may require some adjustment, but overall the Qrevo Curv proves to be a reliable and efficient robot, capable of detecting and avoiding obstacles such as cables and toys. With a price of 1,499 euros, the Qrevo Curv is positioned at the high end of the market, but its cost is in line with the competition, considering the features offered. If you are looking for a robot that can effectively manage long-pile carpets without giving up the washing function, the Roborock Qrevo Curv is an excellent choice.
