Unitree’s G1 humanoid robot sets a new long jump record, demonstrating its advanced capabilities in agility and performance. In the video, the G1 jumps 1.4 meters thanks to high-end joints that can rotate 23 – 43 degrees and generate a maximum torque of 120 Nm, Interesting Engineering reported on October 21. “The G1 robot can jump 1.4 meters, this is the farthest jump a humanoid robot of this size has ever achieved in the world, even though it is only 1.32 meters high,” Unitree company said.

In March 2024, Unitree’s H1 robot version V3.0 broke the Guinness World Record for the fastest life-sized humanoid robot. The latest innovations with the company’s first humanoid robot allow it to run at speeds of 11.9 km/h on land. Unitree’s main competitor Tesla aims to reduce the price of its Optimus robot when mass production begins. Currently, the G1 has a beautifully visored face, upgraded from the previous vented design, and a 3-fingered hand instead of the stump. These innovations and many advanced capabilities make the G1 an impressive product in the competitive humanoid robot market, and Unitree is preparing for mass production in the near future.

The speed and smoothness of the G1 when walking, climbing stairs, jumping, getting up after falling, and even stretching to warm up for karate are very enjoyable.
