Amazon enhances “Same Day Delivery” service

Amazon continues to strengthen its offer, and does so by announcing it in an official note, with the expansion of the same-day delivery service for Prime customers, now also available in Turin, Florence, Genoa, Padua and Bologna. This extension aims to further improve the shopping experience, bringing efficiency and convenience directly to the doors of Italian consumers.

Launched for the first time in Italy in 2018 in Rome and Milan Amazon’s same-day delivery service has already transformed the shopping habits of many, with availability now extending to over 230 zip codes. This option allows Prime customers to receive millions of products, including those from Amazon brands and Italian small and medium-sized businesses, at no additional cost for eligible orders of at least 29 euros.

In 2024, the service set a speed record with the delivery of an automatic cat food dispenser to a customer in Turin in just 189 minutes while over 5 billion products have been delivered same-day or same-day to Prime customers around the world year-to-date. The company not only aims to improve efficiency but is also committed to long-term sustainability, aiming to achieve net zero CO2 emissions by 2040.

Amazon seems intent on creating an increasingly faster and more effective service.
