Next to Villa Velebit, students in Otočac heard about the importance of clean water

The elementary school of Zrinski and Frankopan in Otočac is dedicated to the development of environmental awareness among students and the preservation of clean waters, which is a very important topic in that region known for its beautiful Gacka. Therefore, the students there recently participated in the project “Villas of Velebit“. After an educational and interesting lecture about myths, legends, songs and stories about Velebit, Velebit’s villas and the secrets of Velebit’s springs, the students had an art workshop, and the children showed their love for nature and to all the wealth she gives them.

The students were also given tools for work as a gift – felt-tip pens, wheels. paper, crayons. The project is organized by the association Bura, together with the head of the association and the creator of the project Stellu Galović and an art assistant also participated Lorena Milković. The aim of the workshop is to make children aware of the importance of preserving drinking water sources, the value of water as such in mountainous areas, and encouraging love for the mountains, all through the legends of Velebit’s villas.
