X (formerly Twitter) implements a change that will allow users you blocked to see your posts

X (formerly Twitter) has implemented a controversial change that will allow blocked users to still see your messages.

Previously, the blocking feature caused those on your blacklist to see a “You are blocked” message when they attempted to view your profile, preventing them from receiving any direct information from those accounts.

The change, which was announced in September, will now allow blocked users to see the posts shared on the profile of the person who blocked themalthough it will prevent interactions between them.

Specifically, blocking will prevent interactions how to follow, respond or interact with the profiles that have blocked you.

Previously, the social network owned by Elon Musk had justified this decision by pointing out that this function was easily circumvented by blocked users, who resorted to methods such as using another account or logging out to view the publications of the profiles they had blocked.

Furthermore, they added that the function had previously been used to hide private or malicious information about users who had been blockedso this change will allow “greater transparency.”

The change in the block function has not only generated complaints from users of the social network, but could put them in trouble with Google and Apple, who have the conditions for putting apps in their digital stores by giving users the option to block “abusive users” on the services.
