According to the Deputy Minister, the North Central and South Central Coast regions have taken advantage of the strengths of many localities, bringing science and technology into production and business activities. Many key products and specialties of each locality have improved quality, increased productivity, created and developed markets, contributing to economic development.

Mr. Chu Thuc Dat, Director of the Department of Technology Application and Technical Advancement, Ministry of Science and Technology, said that in the period 2022 – 2024, localities in the region have carried out 1,176 research tasks at provincial and grassroots levels. facilities, of which 645 are in progress, 540 have accepted, registered results and 503 have been put into application.

Citing results in the field of agriculture, Mr. Dat said that research, selection, breeding and restoration have resulted in a number of plant varieties with high productivity, quality, economic efficiency and suitable for each growing region. Thai. Many high-tech processes and new technologies in intensive farming, high-tech agricultural production, organic agriculture, and smart agriculture are applied.
