Leaders of big tech companies were quick to congratulate Donald Trump on his victory in the recent US presidential election. Despite the tensions that had characterized Trump’s past relationship with many of these leading figures in the tech world, today some of the same executives of whom Trump had been critical are among the first to offer on X (a social network owned by Elon Musk, another big winner of these presidential elections) messages of good wishes and openness to future collaborations. Tim Cook, CEO of Applesaid: “Congratulations to President Trump on his victory! We look forward to working with her and her administration to ensure that the United States continues to be fueled by ingenuity, innovation, and creativity.”
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Metadespite past friction with Trump, said: “Congratulations to President Trump on a decisive victory. We have great opportunities as a nation. We look forward to working with you and your administration.” Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabetjoined the congratulatory messages by declaring: “Congratulations to President @realDonaldTrump on his decisive victory. We are living in a golden age of American innovation and we stand ready to work with his administration to bring the benefits to all.” Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazonexpressed his wishes with a touch of patriotism: “Big wishes to our 45th and now 47th President for an extraordinary political comeback. No nation has greater opportunities. I wish Donald Trump all the success he needs to lead and unite the America we all love.”

Sam Altman, CEO at OpenAIadded a comment related to the importance of artificial intelligence for the United States: “Congratulations to President Trump. I wish him great success in his assignment. It is crucial that the United States maintains leadership in developing AI with democratic values.” Pat Gelsinger, CEO of Intelhighlighted the importance of American leadership in technology and manufacturing: “We congratulate President-elect Trump and Vice President Vance on their victory and look forward to working with their Administration to advance America’s technological and manufacturing leadership in the world.” Cristiano Amon, CEO of Qualcommhighlighted the importance of resilience and competition: “We congratulate President-elect Trump and Vice President-elect Vance and stand ready to work with the new administration and Congress to advance priorities that foster resilience, innovation and competition in America.”
