Square Enix has released a new update for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth to coincide with the launch of PlayStation 5 Pro. The update aims to make the most of the potential of the new console, offering players an even more fluid and visually impressive gaming experience . The update introduces Versatility Mode, a new graphics mode developed specifically for PS5 Pro. This mode combines the features of the existing Performance and Graphics modes, aiming for a frame rate of 60 FPS, similar to Performance mode, but maintaining a high resolution comparable to that of Graphics mode thanks to the use of PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) technology.
Additionally, the update takes advantage of the PS5 Pro’s High CPU Frequency mode to ensure a more stable frame rate during gameplay. A series of minor bug fixes and improvements to functionality and general stability complete the picture. Thanks to these improvements, players will be able to enjoy a richer and more detailed representation of the game world, battles, cutscenes and all the other elements that make up the experience of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, considered one of the best role-playing games of this generation.
