The three-wheeled solar car that does not need to be plugged in and travels 1,600 km without recharging

The vehicle’s ultra-lightweight design allows it to consume a quarter of the energy that other electric cars of its size would need. With a 42 kWh lithium-ion battery and around 700 watts of solar panels, the Aptera is a revolutionary mobility alternative. In addition, the company offers various battery configurations, the most powerful being the one that achieves 1,600 km of autonomy on a single charge.

Aptera Motors, aware of the appeal generated by technological and sustainable innovations, has compared its design to the aerodynamics of a dolphin. With a drag coefficient of 0.13, the Aptera reduces wind resistance significantly, which contributes to its low consumption and extends its autonomy.

Although the prototype does not yet have the final appearance, which will include solar panels and a thermal management system, the brand has announced that the final design will resemble an aerodynamic capsule with futuristic style and three wheels. Each of these wheels is equipped with a motor, allowing the vehicle to develop a power of up to 128 kW.

Aptera Motors plans to start production of this solar vehicle shortly, positioning itself at the forefront of sustainable mobility.
