Microsoft will end support for Windows Mail, Calendar and Contacts on December 31

Microsoft has announced that support for Windows Mail, Calendar and People (Contacts) will end on December 31, 2024, which is why it is currently moving users to the new Outlook for Windows.

The technology company seeks to promote the use of this other computer program, which is offered by default and brings together email, calendar and contacts. This is included for free with Windows 11.

To do this, it will stop supporting Windows Mail, Calendar and People on December 31, as it announced more than a year ago. From this date, therefore, It will not be possible to send or receive emails with this service.

Microsoft has noted that local emails, calendar events, and contacts stored in Mail, Calendar, and People (Contacts) can still be exported and imported into the new Microsoft Outlook.

The company, which is currently transferring users to this new service, has recalled that this application “will write better emails”, clearer and without errors thanks to the integrated artificial intelligence (AI), among other advantages.
